Current Layout
Version 3: Visions. I had been wanting to use this image of Hitomi from the first novel cover for a while. I was trying to think of a way to capture the 'look' and 'feel' of Escaflowne in a layout. Instead, I wussed out and tried to make a giant tarot card. :P The image quality bothers me a bit, but other than that I like it. It's still psychotically simple, but feels a bit more complete than any of my other layouts. The idea for the navigation came from the wonderful Akio Ohtori shrine Long Legged Older Man. I love how the webmistress' layouts flow. Made entirely in Adobe Photoshop and coded by hand in Notepad.

Past Layouts

Version 1: Drops of Jupiter. There were two versions of this layout, a tables one and a frames one. I really liked the frame layout....on an 800x600 resolution. Then I looked at it in 1024 and realized it didn't look that good. But I do like the effect I pulled with the letterboxed frames and the fuzzy song lyrics as the background. Drops of Jupiter by Train inspired the layout and to me, is the Hitomi song. I may come back and redo this layout later; there's just something about it that I still enjoy.

Version 2: School Days. This layout came about at 1 in the morning when I could not think of any other layout. The background reminded me of graph paper and so that's how I came up with the title.
