Rules for Submission

Essays, theories and fanfiction
I admit, I’m going to be selective with writings.

• Your submissions must have correct grammar, punctuation and spelling. If you are submitting a theory or essay your argument must be well supported. No “Yorda’s a dumb ditz because I say so.”
• If you are submitting fanfiction, the story must be well written. That means no plot holes, good characterization and the story flows well.
• I have the final say on whether or not a piece of writing is accepted. I will accept most stories, but others I will not, based on any of the above requirements. Please don’t have any hard feelings; you may resubmit your piece if you feel you have improved upon it.
• Although I highly doubt anyone has written ICO pornography, it will not be accepted. Any fanfiction that does result in a sex scene is alright, but please, no ‘Plot, What Plot?’ stories.
• A work will never be denied submission solely because the work goes against my personal feelings. I welcome different viewpoints. Just write it well, is all I ask.

Fanart, Winamp skins and wallpaper

• I don't expect the Mona Lisa, but I do expect a certain level of artistic ability. No stick figures, no badly Photoshopped wallpapers, etc. You can ask your friends for second opinions if you have doubts about a piece of artwork.
• Tasteful and artistic nudity is accepted, anything beyond that is not.

Guidelines for Submission

• You must send any fanart, faniction, essay, Winamp skin, wallpaper, etc., as an attachment with the subject as ‘ICO Winamp/Fanfiction/Fanart’ or any other description for your submission.
• If you are submitting fanfiction, in the body of the e-mail please say whether it is a one-shot or multi chaptered, with a short description of your story.
• In regards to multi chaptered fanfiction, please plan on finishing your submission. There is nothing worse than reading a great story and then finding out the author will not be finishing it.
• For any writing, please send it as a .txt document.
• For any fanart, please send it in either .jpeg or .gif. No .png or .bmp please. Also, send it in a manageable size, around 700 pixels in width so that those with 800x600 resolutions will be able to see the submission easily.
• For all submissions, please say what name you’d like to go by and if you’d like your e-mail and/or webpage to go alongside your name.
• This goes without saying but you must author the work you submit. It's not worth your reputation or your self worth to falsely submit something you didn't author.
